Community Coordinator
Job description:
Confluence is seeking a customer service oriented individual who loves connecting with others to provide part-time weekday coverage at its coworking and event facility. As a member of a small team, the Community Coordinator will support the Community Manager across a variety of daily tasks spanning reception, administration, marketing, sales, and operations.
Tasks:
Core responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following examples:

Responding to customer inquiries and providing tours for potential members and users

Support for new users of the coworking space and event space

Setup and breakdown of furniture for private events

Mail sorting, forwarding, and distribution

Lobby reception and phone answering

Servicing the kitchen, lounge, and restrooms (light cleaning, restocking, putting away dishes, etc.)

Ordering office and janitorial supplies
Based on experience and qualifications, the Coordinator may also have the opportunity to support the Community Manager with digital marketing, social media, customer invoicing, membership agreements, communications, events, and more.
Qualifications:
A successful candidate will be someone who loves building relationships and is adaptable, shifting focus between tasks as needed.

Strong organizational and communication skills; Spanish language skills are desired but not required

Outgoing focus on customer service and hospitality

Resourcefulness - ability to troubleshoot and solve problems

Comfortable learning and supporting users with audio/video system

Able to move partitions and rearrange furniture independently

Willingness to take direction and demonstrate initiative

Proficient in basic computer skills; Coordinator will use their own phone and computer as needed to perform required tasks

Time commitment:

Starting at 15 hours per week

Approximately 3 hours per day on-site Monday-Friday starting at 8 or 8:30 am

Schedule may be flexible and will be agreed upon with Community Manager
Compensation:

The Community Coordinator is a 1099/W9 position; the contractor will invoice Confluence on the 15th and 30th of each month

Hourly starting rate $20/hr paid twice monthly

Discounted or no-cost access to the Confluence workspace, event space, and other services for personal use is negotiable

About Confluence:
Confluence offers coworking space, private offices, conference rooms, and a unique venue for social and professional gatherings - all under one roof.
The second floor features a shared coworking space, private offices, and a member kitchen/lounge. A variety of membership plans are available to accommodate full-time and occasional users.
The main level features a flexible event space and a conference room, both available for private rental. With audio/video capability and capacity of 50 or more, these spaces are ideal for live music, birthday celebrations, receptions, showers, graduation parties, club events, team gatherings, workshops, seminars, board retreats, business meetings, and more.
When it’s not booked for a private event, the first floor flex space is set up for additional coworking. Virtual business mail service is also offered.
Confluence is staffed and maintained by a small team of part-time contractors including the Community Manager, Community Coordinator, Private Event Host, IT service provider, and a janitorial service. The owner also works in the business serving as the General Manager.
