Limited Remote Learning Pods at Confluence
With local schools starting the 2020/2021 school year in a variety of remote learning models, working parents are looking for practical solutions to support their kids without sacrificing their livelihoods. Confluence Small Business Collective is offering a program beginning Monday August 31st, 2020 to give working professionals a few hours of focus while their kids are learning online.
A safe workspace and adult supervision will be offered to elementary and middle schoolers grades 3-8 on the main level of Confluence while parents work upstairs in a professional coworking area. Maintaining safe distancing and other healthy protocols, kids will be expected to work on their remote learning assignments or attend online meetings while supervisors circulate as-needed to ensure kids aren’t struggling.
The learning pod program will be offered 3 hours/day, 5 days/week for dedicated cohorts limited to 8-10 kids per group. The program is offered at $150/child/week with a parent membership to Confluence starting at just $130 per month. Parent memberships include unlimited weekdays in the quiet workspace, high speed internet, complimentary beverages, private meeting space credit, and other perks.
Parents interested in this program can visit www.confluencesbc.com/learning-pods to learn more and pre-enroll. Those interested in offering their services as a supervisor may also apply through the website.
