DESCRIPTION:The Boulder Polar Plunge was first held on New Year's Day in 1982.  It hosts hundreds of spectators bearing witness to the brave individuals that "take the plunge" into the freezing waters of the Boulder Reservoir on New Year's Day as a symbol of the challenges they'll face and resolve to overcome in the coming year.\n\nThe 2017 Boulder Polar Plunge will benefit the American Cancer Society and its lifesaving mission to eliminate cancer as a major health problem.
